Wandering around the Lower East Side I walked past a cafe that had a kitchen facing the street, which is pretty unusual -- most places have it hidden away from public view. Luckily I had my camera with me.

Two days without sleep

Down on the Lower East Side my attention was grabbed by a store with a mirror on the back wall that reflected the other side of the street. As I was taking some photos this guy came out and we started talking about the neighbourhood, and then I asked him if it would be okay if I took his photo. He suggested the title.
