The Huddlestone Arch at the north end of Central Park. It would have come out better if I'd taken it when the sun was shining on the bridge, but this will have to do until next year!

A view over the river from Hudson Highlands State Park. I've been wanting to take shot like this with the sun shining through leaves for quite a while, it's frustrating that autumn only comes once a year!

The San Remo

The San Remo building on Central Park West from by the lake in the park. Apparently it's only 27 stories, not that big by New York standards!

More of a pond than a lake, but "pond view" doesn't sound quite the same. I like this one better than the digital version I took in the same spot.

Rising tensions between cyclists and pedestrians in Central Park seem to be in the news lately (or maybe they're always in the news), but here's a calm shot of a cyclist in the park.

Duck in autumn

I don't really find ducks to be very interesting to photograph, but with the reflections and ripples in the water this didn't turn out too badly.

Now that winter is approaching it gets dark early, on 4:30pm on Saturday I realised the sun was going down and raced to the top of the nearest hill to try and get a sunset shot. It's a cluttered composition but I like the colour and silhouettes.

Modelling in Central Park

Central Park is a popular place to do an amateur photo shoot! I was on my way to the waterfalls at the north end of the park, but I figured I might as well take a few shots myself.

I spent a large part of Saturday and Sunday in Central Park photographing the autumn leaves -- looks like it's getting close to the peak. I took a lot of photos, so it will take me a while to get through them all, but here's the first.
