Adventures in wide angles. I like the curves, but I think the blue and orange really make the shot.

Washington Square
One of my most satisfying portraits so far. I saw this guy relaxing in Washington Square Park and asked him if he'd mind if I took his portrait, he was very accommodating and put up with me taking a lot of photos, it turned out to be a great chance encounter.

The photographer
Trying a self portrait, I don't make a particularly good model! Still, thinking up a concept and trying it out was worth the effort.

Standing apart from the crowd
Back in March I snapped this guy watching the crowd of shoppers in Soho passing by. Looking back at it I wonder who he is and what he thought of the scene in front of him.

Occupy Wall Street
Over the past two months I've been taking a portrait photography class, which has been very educational but also took up a lot of time (so, not much posting recently). Here's one that I'm particularly pleased with, I talked to this gentleman who was watching an Occupy Wall Street event in Union Square, and asked if I could take his portrait. I took this one while he was tired of posing, but the full-on eye contact says more than the conventional portraits did.
